At La Maison Blanche, 3% of our revenue is dedicated to carbon dioxide removal
To counter climate change, it is essential to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere. However, in terms of technology, we have catching up to do. 3% of every purchase made at La Maison Blanche contributes to developing new CO₂ removal technologies.
Selected Projects
We fund emerging technologies for removing CO₂ from the atmosphere

La Maison Blanche collaborates with a multidisciplinary group of scientific experts to find and evaluate the most promising carbon removal technologies. Below are two examples of projects we support.

Climeworks uses geothermal energy, a renewable energy, and waste heat to capture CO₂ directly from the air, concentrate it, and sequester it permanently in basalt rock using the Carbfix method. Climeworks plans to remove 12 kg of CO₂ on behalf of La Maison Blanche.

Charm Industrial has designed an innovative carbon dioxide removal process based on transforming biomass into bio-oil, which is then injected into geological layers for permanent storage. Since 2021, Charm has removed 19 kg of CO₂ on behalf of La Maison Blanche.

Why this works
Early adopters can help lower the cost of new technologies and generalize their usage

Launching new technologies often proves expensive. La Maison Blanche helps lower the cost of promising CO₂ removal technologies and generalize their usage.
